Un desiderio: creare film in analogico
La realtà: lavorare troppo tempo, pagata troppo poco.
Da questa frustrazione, da questa rottura interna nasce questo progetto che consiste in una collezione di negativi la cui immagine genera un (micro) film.
In fondo un gioco che ho inventato così nonostante la scarsità di tempo e di mezzi, mi permette di esaudire il mio desiderio. Un gioco che rompe, appunto, con l’idea di come si fa un film, di cosa è un film, di cosa è una foto. Un gioco che balla lungo una frontiera e genera domande alle quali non sento il bisogno di rispondere.
A desire: to create analogue films
Reality: working too long, paid too little.
From this frustration, from this internal rupture, this project was born, which consists of a collection of negatives whose image generates a (micro) film.
After all, a game that I invented in this way despite the scarcity of time and means, allows me to fulfil my desire. A game that breaks, precisely, with the idea of how a film is made, what a film is, what a photograph is. A game that dances along a frontier and generates questions that I do not feel the need to answer.
Gli Stressonauti sono un gruppo di esploratori intergalattici che stanchi della frenesia e del traffico interstellare sentono il bisogno di prendersi una lunga pausa per rompere la loro routine quotidiana e disintossicarsi dallo stress accumulato. Decidono quindi di fare rotta verso un tranquillo pianeta di provincia disabitato ormai da tempo: tutti i suoi abitanti infatti si sono trasferiti in galassie produttive situate anni luce più a Nord.
Gli Stressonauti una volta arrivati sul pianeta, per ritrovare la pace e il contatto con la natura, si impongono poche regole ma ferree: per i due mesi di permanenza cercheranno di passare il tempo quanto più possibile in solitudine svolgendo le semplici attività che il selvaggio pianeta potrà offrire loro, non dovranno in nessun modo usare strumenti tecnologici, e non potranno né connettersi né comunicare con la loro galassia lavorativa.
Appena arrivati sul pianeta trovano però una macchina fotografica a pellicola e due vecchi rullini in bianco e nero ancora intatti. Senza troppo impegno, stabiliscono di scattare una foto al giorno per sessanta giorni.
Non chiedetemi come sono riuscito a recuperare queste foto ma, senza troppo impegno, ho deciso di mostrarvele, per cercare di raccontarvi la loro breve storia.
The Stressonauts are a group of intergalactic explorers who, tired of the hustle and bustle of interstellar traffic, feel the need to take a long break to disrupt their daily routine and detoxify their accumulated stress. They decide to head for a quiet provincial planet that has long since become uninhabited: all its inhabitants have moved to productive galaxies light years to the north.
Once they arrive on the planet, the Stressonauts, in order to find peace and contact with nature, impose a few but strict rules on themselves: for their two-month stay, they will try to spend as much time as possible in solitude, carrying out the simple activities that the wild planet can offer them, they must not use technological instruments in any way, and they can neither connect nor communicate with their working galaxy.
As soon as they arrive on the planet, however, they find a film camera and two old black and white rolls of film still intact. Without too much effort, they decide to take one photo a day for sixty days.
Don't ask me how I managed to recover these photos but, without too much effort, I decided to show them to you, to try to tell you their short story.
